Tax & Accounting Manager

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role that combines technical expertise with strategic collaboration? As a Tax & Accounting Manager, you'll be at the forefront of coordinating and providing operational support for quarterly and annual tax reporting activities, statutory financial statements preparation, and transfer pricing processes. Working closely with our tax advisory company and auditing firm, you'll ensure accurate accounting and tax representation, compliance with group policies, and adherence to Italian regulations. Your role will be integral to enhancing the quality of reporting and driving continuous improvement in accounting and tax processes. You'll serve as a technical reference point for the Finance team and foster an integrated, collaborative approach across departments.

Accountabilities:
- Manage quarterly tax reporting (current and deferred taxes) in line with Group Tax timelines and guidelines.
- Coordinate the annual tax closing and the preparation of the tax package, with the support of external consultants.
- Support the preparation of the statutory financial statements (IFRS), with particular attention to closing entries, accounting reconciliations, and tax items.
- Take care of the preparation and review of settlement and closing entries, ensuring formal and substantive accuracy.
- Manage relations with the auditing company, coordinating the provision of documentation and follow-up of requests during the annual audit.
- Liaise with the tax consultancy firm for the determination of current and deferred taxes and for the alignment between accounting and tax returns.
- Coordinate transfer pricing processes.
- Support the tax budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring consistency with the company's financial plans.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, automating flows and strengthening internal controls.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Degree in Economics or related disciplines.
- At least 10 years' experience in the financial statements and tax area, preferably in multinational or Big4 contexts.
- The qualification of Chartered Accountant is an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
- Solid knowledge of Italian taxation and civil law.
- Experience in coordinating external consultants and managing relations with auditing firms.
- Familiarity with SAP and consolidated reporting systems
- Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken.
- Accuracy and technical rigour in handling accounting and tax data.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple deadlines.
- Analytical approach and problem-solving orientation.
- Clear communication and ability to interface with international stakeholders.
- Proactive spirit and focus on continuous process improvement
- Fluency in English and Italian languages
